About Mrs. Brandon
I am a native of Atlanta and a product of The Gwinnett County School System. I am a graduate of Norcross High School and Georgia Southern University. Go Eagles! After graduating, I went to work at Disney which was a fun job, but I missed the seasons of the year and returned home to Atlanta.
Following Disney, I was hired at The Bank of Nova Scotia, where I worked for five years. I learned so much about regulatory reporting to The Federal Reserve as I was the Senior Operations Officer, Financial Reporting. After leaving BNS, I worked at Northern Trust Retirement Consulting for over five years. I truly loved my job working with internal and external customers in my first leadership position.
Once I was blessed with my first born son Ryan, I just couldn't leave him and became a full time mom. Twenty-two months later, along came Michael and Audrey. I certainly wasn't going back to work at that time! When my children were a little older, I wanted to get back to the workplace.
After working in an ASD classroom at Level Creek, I then knew exactly what I wanted to do and where I wanted MY children to go to school. One year later, I was accepted into an exclusive special education program at The University of Georgia and earned my teaching certificate after two years.
During my time at Level Creek Elementary, I have gained six years of experience including an ASD Self-Contained Classroom, and an ASD resource classroom, K-5.
My husband, Chris, is also a teacher. He teaches biological sciences at Georgia Gwinnett College. His son, Christopher, is 14 years old and is an awesome tennis player.
Ryan is now in the tenth grade at North Gwinnett High School, is involved in Boy Scouts and he loves running cross country. Michael is in the eighth grade and is very creative and artistic. He loves photography. Audrey is Michael's twin and is also in the eighth grade. Audrey loves to play lacross!
We are a very busy family!
